Castorama – is a hypermarket of leading Russian and foreign manufactures with total area of 11 500 sq.m. and low prices for more than 35 thousand items for home and repair purposes. 

Castorama is part of international Kingfisher company, specializing in home improvement tools and supplies. Kingfisher company includes the following brands: B&Q, Castorama, Brico Depot and Screwfix. In Turkey Kingfisher provides its services under Koçtaş joint venture brand.

Castorama hypermarkets gained its popularity in Europe due to extensive product line, low price and well-known service system, based on the professional advice principle.

The first European stores under "Castorama" brand opened in 1969 in France. Since 2002, the retail chain of "Castorama" has been part of "Kingfisher" British group companies. In 2004 the company entered the Russian market by registered a legal entity "Castorama Rus" LLC. The company’s development in the country started with the regions, the first Russian hypermarket of Castorama was opened in Samara. Today Russian Castorama hypermarkets are located in Moscow and Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Perm, Samara, Tolyatti, Rostov-on-Don, Omsk, Krasnodar, Voronezh, Ufa, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Orenburg.

Castorama has all necessary materials for home and garden for both amateur and professional builders. More than 30 thousand products are located under one roof in the stores with over 10 thousand sq.meters area  - decorative, finishing and construction materials, floor pavements and  building tiles, lighting and water supply equipment, cooling and heating materials, kitchens, tools and plumbing, finish hardware and joinery products. Castorama also offers color matching, fabric cutting, curtains sewing, wood cutting, delivery of goods and other value added services.

The main purpose of Castorama is to become number one in Russian DIY market. Following the results of 2015 Castorama’s sales grew by 12,9 % (total revenue from sales  in 2014 amounted 19%). Year earlier the Russian sales revenue of Castorama amounted 325 million against 408 million in pounds sterling. Comparable sales in 2015 grew by 7,2 %, reflecting high consumer spending on durable goods in the beginning of the year against of a background of instability.
