On February 9-10, 2017, a conference devoted to the development prospects of new appraisal directions was held in Saint-Petersburg. The event was organized by the Russian Society of Appraisers with the support of AFK Group of companies.
On day 1 the representatives of the leading Russian companies including some customers made the statements on the following essential topics:
- appraisal services market analysis in Russia according to the results of 2016
- development of relations within the Eurasian Economic Union
- prospects of applying appraisal competence, knowledge and experience to non-core assets management, financial modeling, appraisal of non-material assets etc.
The second day of the Conference was devoted to an advanced review of extra services performed by appraisal companies.
According to the event program, a training seminar “Forensic expert activity: aspects of regulatory and legal support in the Russian Federation, participation of an expert in appraisal of properties in court proceedings”, was performed, as well as workshops of the leading professionals in the field of consulting services wherein the professional competences of appraisers are top requested.

On the first day Pavel Valerevich gave a presentation on the current trends of the profession development, its challenges and prospects of appraisal development in the future.
On the second day Mr. Kartsev carried out a workshop on the topic ‘Real estate consulting’ where he presented some cases of real-life projects performed by VALRUS, including development of business plan of indoor ice complex construction in Moscow for potential investors, demand and supply research of flats in the under construction business class residential complex (one of the regional million cities) for continued funding of a project by one of the leading banks of the country, as well as a case on participation in sale transaction of under construction resort in Crimea.
